Since our establishment in 2014, we have been committed to fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for the Chinese language and culture among our students.
Our Mission
At Westlake Chinese Academy, our mission is clear: to empower individuals of all ages and backgrounds to achieve fluency in Mandarin Chinese through innovative and effective educational programs. Westlake Chinese Academy hosts full accreditation from NCA CASI, NWAC, and SACS CASI through Cognia. Our transcripts are nationally recognized and accepted by educational institutions throughout the United States.

Yang Wang
FOUNDER
Yang Wang, a native Chinese speaker from mainland China, graduated with a bachelor's degree in science from the esteemed University of Science and Technology of China (中国科学技术大学), one of the top three universities in China. She furthered her studies in the United States, earning a master's degree in science from the University of Texas at Austin. Yang is a certified Chinese teacher recognized by the International Profession Certification Association. With over 15 years of experience teaching Chinese in the Austin area, she established the Westlake Chinese Academy in 2014.
Xuefei Zhu
CO-FOUNDER
Xuefei Zhu (祝雪飞), Co-Founder, hails from mainland China as a native Chinese speaker. She attained her master's degree in education from Zhejiang University in China. Notably, she received the prestigious special-grade teacher (特级老师) award in 2006. With over 40 years of experience, she has dedicated herself to teaching Chinese.
