Our Students Won 9 Gold Awards1 Silver Award and 2 Honorable Mentions in the 19th National CLASS Chinese Essay Contest In January, 2023.

Speech Contests

Our students Pieter, Tucker, Cole, Chase, Anastasia, Fernanda and Sara Received 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Awards in the 20th Greater Houston Area Chinese Speech Competition in November, 2022.

Our students Anastasia, Chase, Pieter and Shanika Received 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place Awards in the 19th Greater Houston Area Chinese Speech Competition in November, 2021.

Our Student, Kisara Moore (纪更), was awarded 2nd place honors at the 2017 U.S. National Chinese Speech Competition in Boston on Saturday, April 22.

Moore was one of only nine national finalists in her level of the non-native speaker category. This is also the prestigious 12th "Chinese Bridge" Speech Contest for American high school students. For the final round of competition, Moore delivered a three-minute memorized Chinese speech titled “Chinese and me.” She also performed a traditional dance from the popular Chinese song “Fragrance of the Night.”

Our student Krupali Kumar won first place in the 16th Greater Houston Area Chinese Speech Competition (Non-Chinese/Non-Heritage Background middle school & high school Group) on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017.

There were a total of over 200 contestants for this prestigious speech contest in Houston. Krupali Kumar wrote and Performed her speech in Chinese titled: "My Idol. 《我的偶像》"

Krupali Kumar had learned Chinese in Westlake Chinese Academy in Austin, Texas since 2015 when she started as a total beginner until 2022 when she was admitted into Harvard University. 

Our student, Cameron Conyers (叶吉利), received the 3rd place award in the 7th Annual North Texas Chinese Speech Contest and University of Texas-Dallas Confucius Institute Cup in Dallas on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Conyers competed in the 9th-12th grade level, non-Chinese heritage student category.

Our student Kisara Moore (纪更) won first place in the 14th Greater Houston Area Chinese Speech Competition (Non-Chinese/Non-Heritage Background high school Group) on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015.

There were a total of over 180 contestants for this prestigious speech contest in Houston. Kisara Moore wrote and performed her speech in Chinese titled: "Keep on Keeping On. 《一直加油》"
